Alice Quinn was the poetry editor at The New Yorker magazine from 1987 through 2007.  Before that, she was poetry editor at Alfred A. Knopf from 1976-86.  She teaches at Columbia University's graduate School of the Arts and is the Executive Director of the Poetry Society of America.

She has written and edited several books including Edgar Allan Poe & The Juke-Box: Uncollected Poems, Drafts, and Fragments, uncollected works by Elizabeth Bishop.
